The Model Mandate guidance was originally published by International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) in 2012 to help asset owners to express what they expected of the asset managers that they engaged, and to reflect those expectations in contracts and mandates. Its particular focus was on the parts of the mandate relating to the investment approach, stewardship, ESG and the manager’s accountability to their clients.
Comment letters, viewpoints and guidance statements in response to national and international regulatory developments. Covering the key overarching themes that are most relevant with regard to global corporate governance and responsible investment practices – and which therefore have relevance for ICGN members.
ICGN is proud to release a new book: Governance, Stewardship and Sustainability: Theory, Practice and Evidence, authored by George Dallas and Mike Lubrano. Drawing from their decades of experience, the authors provide greater clarity, rigour and guidance to practitioners about what we know—and don’t know—about stewardship, governance and sustainability. This new work explores the theoretical foundations of stewardship, linking these to day-to-day investor decision making.
The ICGN maintains a list of all known Stewardship Codes. These links direct you to these codes and contact details for the organisations responsible for them. We aim to provide a comprehensive list which is publicly accessible to all.
ICGN Committees are a vital source of ICGN Member expertise contributing to our mission to advance the highest standards of corporate governance and investor stewardship worldwide.
