International Board opportunities
The experience and expertise of ICGN members are actively sought by the PIOB SSB Nominations Committee on two dynamic international Boards which are critical in ensuring there is trust in the way in which companies conduct themselves and confidence in the information companies report to the capital markets. Both the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) are currently transitioning to be made up of multi-stakeholders. In this context, there are two global Invitations for applications for vacancies commencing on 1 January 2024. Attracting applications from corporate directors, especially with experience of evolving Environmental, Social and Governance practice, is a main priority. The Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB) is the global independent oversight body that seeks to improve the quality and public interest focus of the Standard-Setting Boards. The PIOB established the SSB Nominations Committee in 2021 to manage the selection of members to the IAASB and the IESBA.
Corporate directors, especially with ESG experience, are among the profiles particularly sought.
