Jim Whittington

Jim Whittington is Dimensional’s Head of Responsible Investment. In this role, he leads the firm’s global efforts to innovate in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) space, coordinating cross-departmental efforts to implement our ESG strategy across corporate and investment initiatives. Jim, who is based in London, also serves on Dimensional’s Investment Stewardship Committee.

Jim was formerly a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President. For years, he has been on the front lines of ESG initiatives in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, talking with clients, supporting stewardship activities, and representing Dimensional with industry organizations.

Prior to joining Dimensional, Jim spent a number of years working within the sphere of exotic equity derivatives in London and Hong Kong. He held a variety of roles, from risk system developer to trader and manager at ABN AMRO, J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch. Jim received a BA with honor’s in theology from the University of Oxford and his MBA from China Europe International Business School.
