Hyewon Kong

As Vice President, Head of Responsible Investing, Hyewon leads Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies at IMCO. With over 20 years of experience in both corporate and investment management in Asia, Europe and North America, Hyewon has managed and led sustainable investing as a portfolio manager and a subject matter expert on ESG. Prior to joining IMCO in 2020, she led responsible investing and ESG integration, while managing sustainable investing portfolios at AGF Investments as Head of ESG and Chair of ESG Committee.

Hyewon co-founded and co-chairs Canadian Responsible Investment Working Group and has been named to Canada’s 2020 Clean 50 leaders for creating broad collaborations in the Canadian financial industry to drive a sustainability agenda. Hyewon serves on the Board of Directors of UBC Investment Management Trust and lectures on environmental finance and sustainable & impact investment courses.

Hyewon has a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford and is a CFA charter holder.
