Biography

Per Einar Ellefsen is the co-founder and CEO of Amundsen Investment Management. Amundsen IM is an independent asset manager, based in Paris and Oslo, dedicated to providing capital to promising companies in the context of primary markets transactions, such as IPOs, capital raises, and pre-IPO rounds.

Prior to founding Amundsen IM, Per was the Global Head of Equity Enhanced Indexing at the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (NBIM). In that role, he oversaw the investment strategy and portfolio management of the fund’s $700bn equity index portfolio. From 2014 to 2018, he was a portfolio manager responsible for the selection and management of active external equity mandates for the fund in Europe and Asia. Per Einar holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique in France (2008) and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2010). Per serves as a member of FTSE Russell’s EMEA Regional Advisory Committee and the Euronext OSEBX index committee.
