Biography

Catherine McCall is CEO of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, a not-for-profit organization celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023, which represents Canada’s leading institutional investors. As CEO, Catherine is responsible, together with the Board of Directors, for setting the strategy of the organization, leading policy development, overseeing regulatory advocacy and participating in CCGG’s board engagement program. She is a member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee and Chair of the International Corporate Governance Network’s Global Stewardship Committee. Catherine holds the ICD.D designation.

Representing the interests of institutional investors which collectively manage approximately $5.5 trillion of assets, the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance CCGG promotes good governance practices, including the governance of environmental and social matters, at Canadian public companies and assists institutional investors in meeting their stewardship responsibilities. CCGG also works to improve of the regulatory environment to best align the interests of boards and management with those of their shareholders, and to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the Canadian capital markets.
