Yoshio Okubo is currently chairing International Advisory Committee of Japan Securities Dealers Association, a self-regulatory organization in the Japanese capital markets (JSDA). He has served at senior positions at various organizations related to financial market, including the JSDA, Japan Investment Trust Association (JITA) and the World Bank, where he served as Executive Director for Japan from 2004 to 2006. He also served as Chairman of the IOSCO's Self-Regulatory Organizations Consultative Committee (SROCC, currently AMCC) while working at JSDA as its Chief Regulatory Officer. Previously, he worked at senior positions at the Financial Services Agency and the Ministry of Finance, working mostly on financial market and regulatory issues. He served as the first Secretary-General of Certified Public Accountants and Auditing Oversight Board, when it was created in 2004.
