Professor Manuel Lokin studied law at the University of Utrecht. After an internship at the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, he started his research into executive compensation in 2009. In April 2018, he succesfully defended his PhD thesis on the subject of “Executive Compensation in Listed Companies” at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam.

He is currently working as a lawyer at Stibbe, specializing in Corporate Governance and Corporate Litigation & Dispute Resolution. On 1 December 2018, he will be appointed as professor of Company Law at the University of Utrecht. Amongst others, he is editor-in-chief of “Maanblad voor Ondernemingsrecht” and editor of “Geschriften vanwege de Vereniging Corporate Litigation”.
