Ronnie Lim

Ronnie Lim is the Senior Engagement Specialist and heads stewardship and sustainable investment activity in Asia (including Japan) for Robeco.

He works with investment teams to constructively influence, engaging with portfolio companies to catalyse change by influencing strategy, governance and capital management. His focus is shareholder value creation via constructive engagement.

He represents Robeco in public fora, advocating for improving corporate governance & ESG/Sustainability performance with regulators and key stakeholders. He is an active ACGA member, participating in its Japan and Korea Working Groups, and is also a Council Member of ACGA.

Prior to joining Robeco, he held a number of global investment roles based in Asia and London. From 2003 to 2007, he was Head of Sustainable Investment Research at Aviva Global Investors in London, where its SRI team was ranked Number 1 by Extel for four years. He later joined Climate Change Capital as portfolio manager for the Global Environmental Opportunities Fund. Mr. Lim also worked in institutional equities at Cazenove, CLSA and RBS where he led regional sales teams. Mr. Lim was educated in England and holds BSc and MSc degrees from UK universities in Economics and Environmental Science, and is an Associate of CFA UK.

運用チームとの協働の下、投資先企業に対するエンゲージメントを通じて、企業戦略、ガバナンスや資本管理への影響力を行使し変革を促進すべく働きかけを行う。建設的なエンゲージメントを通じた株主価値の創造に注力。

また、対外的な情報発信を積極的に行い、規制当局や主要なステークホルダーとも連携してコーポレートガバナンスやESG・サステナビリティへの取り組み改善を提唱する。さらに、アジア・コーポレートガバナンス協会（ACGA）メンバーとして積極的にその活動に従事し、日韓ワーキンググループに参加、ACGA評議会メンバーも務める。

ロベコ入社以前は、アジアおよびロンドンを拠点に、グローバル投資運用の要職を歴任。2003年から2007年までは、ロンドンのアビバ・グローバル・インベスターズでサステナブル投資リサーチ責任者を務めた。同SRIチームはエクステルによるランキングで4年にわたり首位を獲得した。その後クライメート･チェンジ・キャピタルに入社し、グローバル環境オポチュニティ・ファンドのポートフォリオ・マネジャーに就任。また、カザノブ、CLSA、RBSでは、機関投資家向け株式業務に従事。地域営業チームを率いた。英国の大学で経済学、環境科学の学士号および修士号を取得。英国CFA協会認定アソシエイト。
