Rita Benoy Bushen

Rita  Bushon is currently a Managing Director and Founder of RAA Capital Partners Sdn Bhd , a consultancy-based company in Malaysia.  She is advising several companies in the areas of ESG  and internal control as well as strategy . She is also advising a port authority in Sarawak on the overall port development.  Currently she is also a director and a capital market license holder(corporate finance)  in SCS Global Advisory Sdn Bhd, a boutique capital market license company in Malaysia

Her past experiences include as an independent director in KPS Bhd as well as a non-independent director in KFC Bhd and L&G Bhd . She was the CEO and one of the founder directors in  MSWG, Malaysia , a minority shareholder activist company . She was also the founding council member of the Institutional Investor Council of Malaysia.

She had served at the Employees Provident Fund (EPF)  for over two decades holding various senior positions in EPF’s investment and planning departments such as Head of Equity Research, Head of External Portfolio Management, Head of Private Equity,  Head of Corporate Surveillance as well as Head of Corporate Planning.

Rita had  co-chaired the Shareholder Responsibilities Committee and Diversity Working Committee of the International Corporate Governance Network, (ICGN) , an international investor-led global organization responsible for promoting corporate governance.

During her tenure in MSWG she was awarded several excellence awards including for her   transformation leadership role . She had authored many publications in the Economics, Investment and Governance areas

She is active in her residential association promoting good neighbourliness amongst its residence and participates in many community activities in various  organisations providing support to the community. She enjoys listening to music, watching movies,  gardening. She is a proud mother of three lovely young working ladies and enjoys their company.

Rita holds an MBA from Henley Business School(1993) and has an Honours Degree in Economics (Statistics) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (1984).  She is a Holder of CMSRL Licence for Corporate Finance.
