Karin Apelman

Karin Apelman is Secretary General and CEO of FAR, the Institute for the accountancy profession in Sweden since June 2018. Previously Karin Apelman was Director General of Swedish Exports Credit Guarantee Board (2007-2016) and CFO of Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services (LFV, 2001-2007). Prior to that Karin Apelman has served in various executive capacities at Saab Aircraft Leasing and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).

Karin Apelman has also had several non-executive positions including Svenska Handelsbanken AB, The Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board (EKN), AB Svensk Exportkredit (SEK), Swedavia AB and The Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (Stint). Currently she is a member of the Swedish Corporate Governance Board.

Karin Apelman holds an MSc in Economics and Business from Stockholm School of Economics.
