Emmanuel has over 20 years experience providing assurance and advisory services to international clients.

Since 2022, he has taken the role of CSRD Task Force Leader at Mazars to drive Mazars’ preparation to the challenges induced by the CSRD in both its audit and advisory service lines. He is also the Global Sustainability Audit Leader at Mazars and an audit signing partner for large international clients established in France, notably in the banking sector.

Prior to taking this role, Emmanuel was the managing partner of Mazars in Japan where he has been located for 10 years, leading the development of the firm from 20 to 200 staffs and partners. In parallel, Emmanuel was an audit and transaction services partner, supporting European and American groups across all sectors in M&A and audit projects. In Japan, Emmanuel started research on ESG matters with the publication with the Tokyo Institute of Technology of a comprehensive comparative study on ESG reporting between Europe and Asia.

Whereas Emmanuel started his career in the banking department of the Paris office of Mazars, he qualified as a CPA while being seconded to the New York office where he spent almost 7 years, notably supporting European banks at the time of the subprime crisis.

He studied in Paris, France (Master, Sciences Po) and in Leipzig, Germany (Politikwissenschaft).

Emmanuel’s expertise areas are more specifically around ESG reporting standards, Accounting, auditing and financial reporting under IFRS and US GAAP, project management, Transaction services / due diligence and cross border finance function organization and reporting process.

Emmanuel is fluent in English, French and German.
