Biography

A pioneer at the frontier of tech ethics, catalyst, and systems thinker with a passion for building enduring value, Di advises global investors and organizations on transitioning responsibly to a sustainable digital economy. She is valued for anticipating future scenarios and their corollaries, and galvanizing high-level stakeholder coalitions that enact transformative change, while guiding them along an iterative discovery journey. Ultimately, Di helps organizations develop stewardship and governance frameworks that promote responsible tech innovation, implementation and self-regulating guardrails.

With a background in tech and having keenly followed its advancements across diverse industries throughout her career, Di has developed a multi-layered grasp of its impacts across societies and their stakeholders. This led her to establish Creating Future Us (“CFU”), a not-for-profit focused on the role of investor engagement and corporate responsibility, amid a seismic transition from the industrial age to a digital one. CFU aggregates the latest research on tech impacts, looking for signal in the noise, as well as providing its clients with a collective forum and the engagement tools that address responsible tech in their funds, portfolio companies and corporate boards.

An astute and dynamic professional, Di applies decades of expertise gained working across tech, finance, and energy. Her career began with close to a decade in technology in California, followed by a lengthy stint in investment banking alternating between New York and London, at Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, Greenwich Capital, RBS and ultimately ABN AMRO. At ABN AMRO, she was a senior member of the Executive Management Committee and lead executive for establishing, merging, and globally scaling the Private Investor Products business across all the bank’s asset classes. Since 2006, Di has pursued entrepreneurship, establishing two highly successful independent firms, driving investment and capital formation across the energy transition.

Di has a BSc in Electrical Engineering and completed the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business’s Corporate Strategy Executive program. She was selected by London’s Mayor as one of his Business Ambassadors and by Baroness Verma as an ambassador for her POWERful Women initiative. Di has served on boards establishing the UK government’s Green Investment Bank as well as Exergyn, Ventient Energy, and Paradigm Change Capital Partners, among others. She is a fellow of the RSA and a member of the International Corporate Governance Network.
