ICGN Foundation
The ICGN Foundation acts in the public interest to support corporate governance education worldwide. It advances the work of ICGN Academy which was launched at the 2007 Annual Conference in Cape Town with a remit to support leadership development for those working in low-income or difficult environments and to promote reserach into corporate governance in developing countries.
To date, over 30 people from around the world have benefited from ICGN Scholarships and become part of the ICGN network, thanks to generous contributions from individual ICGN Members and inaugural donors. Going forward, the ICGN Foundation will continue providing scholarships and expand on the work programme to include mentoring and internships, together with research and surveys highlighting current corporate governance issues.
The ICGN Foundation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the ICGN and is applying for charity status, initially in the UK and the US. This will help ensure that ICGN Members and donors benefit from tax effective giving to help support the long term sustainability of the ICGN Foundation in meeting its purpose to support corporate governance education worldwide.
