Entry/Exit requirements


A passport is required to enter The Republic of Korea. Delegates are responsible for organising their own visa applications and associated costs. For information about visa requirements, click here or contact your local Korean Embassy or consulate or visit the Korea National Tourism Organization website at http://www.tour2korea.com.

Travel by air
Asiana Airlines have been appointed as the Official Airline for the ICGN 2008 Conference. Delegates will be eligible for a 20% discount on the ticket price, under the following conditions:
1. Departures from Japan attract a 15% discount for First Class & Business Class and a 20% discount for Travel Class (Economy).
2. The discount only applies to Asiana Airlines flights.
3. If you have to take a non-Asiana Airlines flight to reach an airport to make an Asiana Airlines connection, you will need to purchase two separate air tickets.

When making your travel plans, please present a confirmation of your registration for the ICGN 2008 Conference.
There are two international airports in Seoul: Incheon International Airport and Gimpo airport.
From Incheon International Airport:
KAL limousine buses: These run every 20/30 minutes to and from the Shilla Hotel and costs KRW 14,000. The journey takes around 90 minutes and the service operates from 05:55 to 22:30 every day. Bus stops are located in front of Exit 4 and Exit 10.

Taxis: Taxis are always available at the airport and cost approx. KRW 75,000 for a deluxe and KRW 45,000 for a standard.

Hotel Cars: These are available via the Shilla Hotel and cost around KRW130,000. Drivers meet delegates in the airport arrivals area and will be holding a sign with the delegate’s name. To make a reservation please contact the car service counter on 82-2-2230-3776.
From Gimpo Airport:
Taxi: Taxi fares range from approx. KRW40,000 - 50,000. It takes about 50 minutes from the airport to the hotel.

Hotel Cars: There is a pick-up service from Gimpo Airport to the Shilla Hotel which costs around KRW70,000. To make a reservation contact the car service provider on 82-2-2230-3766.
