We are pleased to announce publication of the agenda for the 2006 ICGN Annual Conference which will be followed by the Annual General Meeting for our members.

We have put together a broad range of topics we believe to be of importance and interest in global corporate governance today. We will hear from leaders in corporate governance reform from around the world and from all sides of the debate: investors; companies; policy makers and stakeholders.

We do hope you will be able to join us on July 4th, Independence Day, which is a special day in the United States, particularly in Washington. We will celebrate Independence Day at our main hotel in a truly traditional style with fireworks, a picnic and a Dixieland jazz band. Many other events will be taking place in Washington as well.

On the 5th we have an opening reception at the beautiful Corcoran Art Gallery, the oldest museum in the Nation’s Capital and on the 6th you will be able to enjoy a Gala Dinner at the National Building Museum, a true engineering masterpiece and originally home to the Pension Bureau.

Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, network and make new friends. And if you would like to sponsor this premier international corporate governance event, please look at the sponsorship opportunities that are available.

I would like to thank the Planning Committee and ICGN members for the high quality of this programme and the roster of interesting speakers. I would also like to thank the ICGN Secretariat, our partners the Council of Institutional Investors (CII) and our sponsors, for all their help and support.

We look forward to welcoming you to Washington!
